Privacy Policy
Privacy-first by design.
FeeHunt is designed around local processing, minimal data collection, and user control.
Last updated: 2026-05-19
This draft is provided for product planning and should be reviewed before public launch.
Overview
FeeHunt is designed as a privacy-first desktop application that helps users identify subscriptions, financial-risk emails, promotional clutter, and future phishing-risk patterns.
Local Processing
FeeHunt processes Gmail scan results locally on the user's computer. Email analysis, scan results, settings, and license metadata are designed to remain on the user's device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.
Gmail Access
FeeHunt uses OAuth-based Gmail access. Users authorize access through Google. FeeHunt does not ask for or store Gmail passwords. OAuth tokens may be stored locally so FeeHunt can connect to Gmail after authorization.
Data Stored Locally
- OAuth authorization token
- Scan results
- User settings
- Cleanup preferences
- Local license metadata
Minimal Data Collection
FeeHunt should collect only the minimum data required to operate, support licensing, improve reliability, and provide customer support.
No Selling User Data
FeeHunt does not sell user data and should not sell, rent, or trade Gmail data, scan results, or personal account information.
Future Payment and Licensing
Public launch licensing and payment features may require account, billing, and license data. Payment processing should be handled by a trusted payment provider such as Stripe. FeeHunt should not store raw payment card data.
User Control
- Revoke Gmail access through your Google account
- Delete local FeeHunt files from your computer
- Cancel paid subscriptions through a clear self-service flow
